This is Nate with some of his best buddies, (left to right) Josh, Dallin and Ethan. We went out to Murrieta last week to visit the Sweetnam's during our Christmas break. They all played so well together and had such a blast. The girls, Kaylee, Ashley, Olivia, and Kenyon were planning a sleepover without first consulting the Moms. It didn't happen, but boy did they beg!!

This is as "fall" as it gets in Southern California. We are lucky for such great weather. It was 58 degrees that day- cold for here. I could actually were a sweater for once without sweating to death.

In our dinner prayer tonight Nathan asked a special blessing for "Aunt Nan and Grandma Pam to make it safely and that they won't get attacked by wild animals on the way". He also said something funny about the kitchen sink's drain stopper. "This is incredible"- as if he had never seen anything like it before. He is so funny.

Collin loves trains! We have a train that goes by our house and every time he hears it pass, he sits straight up and yells, "choo choo".

Nathan has been asking for a skateboard since last year and I guess that Santa finally felt like it was time.

Ever since Dave and Ede got a snuggie Kenyon has wanted one. No more fighting over the blanket!

Here goes.... it has been a long time since my last blog. Thanks to our generous Craig, my computer is working much better now!

We had a pretty quiet Christmas Day. It was just the 5 of us at home this year. Kenyon and Collin woke up at 6:45 and waited for a whole 5 minutes before waking Nate up. They were very excited (to say the least). Some of the favorite gifts recieved were Kenyon's real glasses (she doesn't need them, but that is really one of the only things that she wanted), Nates skateboard, and Collins geo trax train (although the best part of the train is the brochure that he carries around with him everywhere he goes).

We went over to the California Roses for lunch and presents. Pam, Bob, Chris and his girlfreind Sylvia were there. The kids love going over to spend time with MaaPaam (Grandma Pam). We had lunch and the kids ran around outside and had a great time playing with the neighbors dog and Chris' dog Lily.

We had plans to be with Carly, Craig and Elliott for dinner, but sweet Elliott was sick from late Christmas Eve on. We missed him very much and hope he is doing better today!

For Christmas eve, Craig, Carly, Elliott, and our good freind Greg Giles came over. We had dinner and the kids put on a little show singing Christmas Bells and playing the bells. Scott and Nathan had gone on a shopping spree to the 99 cent store and we had a good time opening those presents. From gum to sling shots and a Spounge Bob hairbrush, many interesting gifts were given. Nate, Kenyon and Elliott had fun tracking Santa on the computer and then looking on the map to see where he was.

This year we didn't send out Christmas cards. Instead we will be emailing one out in a day or two.

Quotes about Christmas from Nate:
"I like it because we get to open presents and we get to get new stuff".
"Jesus was at Bethlehem. It's all about Jesus".

Quote from Collin:
Collin what did you like about this Christmas? "Apple juice, my present, this" (as he points at his "choo choo").

Quote from Kenyon:
"I like giving and going to other peoples houses and like celebrating with them".

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!
